Trendy Printing
So what’s hip and new in the world of presentation folders? Aside from the “green” push the printing industry is having, I’ve noticed that most products follow patterns. For instance, according to DuPont’s most recent color study, White is the most popular color for new vehicle purchases for 2007. That broke a seven-year legacy of silver dominating the auto industry (silver came in second and black third, respectively).
And why do we like these colors? Possibly because we like all of the cool gadgets out there like cell phones, iPods, laptops (or any other product that Apple produces), and those products are made in colors like silver, white and black. White may have pulled ahead because of “pureness.” Again, from the green push.
So what does this mean for printing? It could mean that a white presentation folder with an isolated logo is the “in” way to promote with presentation products. And if you add a silver foil too…yeah! Ya feelin’ me?? Man that would be sweet… Maybe a white leatherette? No animals were even slaughtered producing it!!
..Ahem. I guess this could be a reason why we came out with the Envirofolder Premium, or EFP. It’s the best of both worlds- the pureness from the white, but it also is FSC certified and 100% post-consumer recycled. It’s so pure you can eat it.*
*Not recommended. Not saying the EFP wouldn’t taste good, but rather, it does a better job as a palate-cleansing, eco-friendly alternative to a standard presentation folder. Women pregnant or nursing can purchase the EFP.
